About the Zoom Performers Group
When covid hit in late February 2020, the film and theater industry came to a near halt, but actors, writers, and movers and shakers throughout the United States could not remain inactive for long. By March, Chuck Slavin, Boston's unstoppable force in the film/theater arts field, created Zoom Performers Group (ZPG) with friends and fellow performers, which instantly gained a national following of 100 plus actors, writers, and film/theater professionals. Every other week, Chuck coordinates and schedules weekly readings, giving actors and writers a stage and audience for the work they love that covid has reduced. The ZPG initiative has also provided a place and platform for community support, both professional and personal, during this time of isolation.
